  • English doesn’t have to be a struggle. In fact, it can be fun!

    Hi, my name is Rose Kim and I am a third-year university student at the University of Adelaide. I am passionate about all things English, which led me to study a Bachelor of Arts (Advanced) - winning the Dickens Fellowship Scholarship and the Byard Prize.

    Having graduated with an ATAR of 96.95, you may think English came easily to me. However, my journey with English has always been one of love and hard work, which means that I understand students who both love and despise it.

    My goal in life is to use my experience and knowledge to improve confidence and enjoyment in English for secondary students (as well as skills)!

MY TEACHING METHOD

  • Led by the Classroom

    Tutoring is meant to help, not be a burden. I work with what the students are learning in their classroom to double the learning effect.

  • FLEXIBILITY IS KEY

    I set manageable and personalised tasks and missions for students that will boost their engagement with, and understanding of, English.

  • Personalised to the Core

    The tutor isn’t just there to feed information. I am here to make things fun and help find ways for English to be enjoyable to you.

Tutoring Sessions

1 hour per session

In-person (at Hub Central or public space)
Online (via Google Meet)

Trial Session

1 hour: $7

Monthly Package

4 weekly sessions: $180 ($45 per hour)

8 semi-weekly sessions: $350 ($43.75 per hour)

  • Published two poems in local journals during high school

  • Tutored a family member in English during their high school years (yr 8-12)
